Nondiscrimination Policy

Chesapeake Telemedicine complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. Chesapeake Telemedicine does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.

At Chesapeake Telemedicine we try to serve and accommodate all patient’s needs. If we are unable to accommodate any of your needs, we will gladly aid in transport or referral to the appropriate level of care.

Chesapeake Telemedicine will offer free interpreter services through Jeenie for patients whose primary language is not English. This includes access to sign language interpreters, when necessary, to ensure effective communication and care are delivered to patients who may be deaf or hard of hearing.  Additionally, educational information about a patient’s diagnosis and treatment can be transmitted to the patient in larger fonts or in other languages that may be more legible for patients who need it. We also encourage patients who may need language assistance to invite their own interpreter to their appointment.

If you believe that Chesapeake Telemedicine has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, you can file a grievance with:
